Pourya (Asylum)

Pourya was a human rights activist in his home country. He had several publications of his thoughts and expressed opinions opposing the regime in power. As he was seen as a dissident opposing the regime in power, life became at risk.

We represented in a claim for asylum successfully establishing that he had a well-founded fear of persecution for the Convention reason of his political opinion as a result of which he was unable to return to his home country, he was unable to avail himself to the authorities of his country for protection, and neither was relocation a viable option.

Today, he is living in the UK safely, as a recognised refugee.
